It's back. The ever popular Schools Cup Bouldering competition returns for another year.

The Depot Schools Cup is aimed at schools in the Yorkshire area. Whether you have used the centre before or not does not matter. (Please note all competitors must have previous climbing experience, we are able to run induction sessions in the build up to the competition for groups who do not have current climbing experience).

The competition is open to all ages and abilities and promises to be an action packed and fun event. The problems will be from V0 (easy) upwards and will be set by one of the country’s top route setters.
If anyone wishes to compete without previous climbing experience, please feel free to contact Daniel Crossdale at to arrange a group session or induction.

When will the competition take place?

The competition will take place from 9.30 until 2.30pm on Wednesday 13th March 2019. There are two available time slots for climbing. Slot 1 is 9.30-12pm and Slot 2 is 1-3.30pm. There will be 25 problems to attempt.

Who can enter?

The competition is open to anyone aged 7-18 years and all abilities. Schools can enter teams of 6 kids who will all compete individually in age categories as well as in the overall team category. You can enter more than one team provided there are available spaces. Please complete a separate entry form for each team you intend to enter. All kids will enter in their own age category for the individual competition. The top six kids from each school will be entered for the team’s competition for the overall prize of Schools Cup Winner 2019!

The cost per team will be £8 per head. This includes entry and a competition gift. Each team can enter a maximum of 10 pupils (there may be some flexibility on this, please feel free to email with any enquiries).
