GET INTO BOULDERING

Get Into Bouldering

What is bouldering?

Bouldering is a style of climbing free from the use of ropes. Taking place above our state of the art matting climbers are free to express themselves on hundreds of climbs (called problems) of every standard. Regardless of your level of fitness everyone can enjoy bouldering and its a superb way to keep fit in a social environment.

Here at the Depot we cater for all ages and fitness levels. We have an expert team of friendly instructors who can get you started in under an hour with one of our inductions.

Inductions

To get you using the centre in a safe and considered manner we offer induction sessions for all new climbers. Our instructors will take you through all the basics so that you can gain the confidence and skills to use the Depot independently.

The session costs £15 and includes equipment hire, a 12 month membership to the wall which allows you to benefit from member entry prices to the wall and full instruction. These sessions need to be booked in advance and they run 7 days a week.

PLEASE NOTE: ANYONE AGED 14 TO 18 WHO WISHES TO CLIMB UNSUPERVISED MUST BRING A PARENT/GUARDIAN WITH THEM AND COMPLETE A JUNIOR ASSESSMENT. THE FORMS FOR THIS WILL BE COMPLETED AT THE CENTRE.

Download an Over 18 membership form by clicking here or you can complete one when you visit the Depot.

All under 18's require a completed parental consent form which you can download here. And an under 18 form which can be downloaded here (Please note this is for Supervised climbing only).
